Doris the Morris and Mabel the Mini are both looking for new garages in the Charterhouse classic car auction being held at The Haynes Motor Museum on 19th November.
“I usually ask owners entering classic cars into our auction whether they have given their vehicles any affectionate names but with Doris and Mabel these were proudly emblazoned on the back of the cars!” Commented Richard Bromell.
Doris the Morris is a 1963 Morris Minor Tourer. An original factory tourer which has received several modifications such as a Marina engine and gearbox, is estimated at £5,000-7,000.
Mabel the Mini is a 1974 Austin Mini Clubman. Found as a project rotting in a garden, she has been fully restored to her owners specification from a black over red and a tan check interior, is also estimated at £5,000-7,000.
Charterhouse is now accepting further entries for this classic & vintage car auction on 19th November being held at the prestigious Haynes Motor Musuem.
