Following on from the hugely successful Charterhouse auction at The Moretonhampstead Motor Museum which sold on the hammer for over £550,000, we have been instructed to auction another private car collection.
The owner, who is no longer able to look after and continue to restore his beloved vehicles, is offering his cars, spares, workshop and other tools, in the Charterhouse auction on Wednesday 10th September, with plenty of projects to choose from.
Many of his classic cars were bought decades ago, the earliest in 1969, with a view to restoring them gradually in retirement.
A professional mechanic for many years, he completed many cars restoring them to a high standard previously but has now run out of steam.
At the property there are over 20 vehicles. In varying states, from complete original cars, partially restored vehicles to motors needing complete restoration, there is something for everyone at the property with estimates from £20 to £60,000.

As with many restorers, there is a vast array of spare engines, blocks, gearboxes, other mechanicals, interiors, trim and parts with a great selection of spanners, other hand tools, a lathe, blast cabinet, four-post ramp, and two motorbikes.
There are also signs, other wall art, a Bowser petrol pump, a trailer and other items associated with a lifetime of maintaining and restoring cars.
Viewing at Hamborne House, Corscombe DT2 0PA on Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th September 9.30am – 4.30pm. The What Three Words for Hamborne house are definite.doormat.weeknight. The auction will be conducted on Wednesday 10th September at 10am online and at our salerooms in Sherborne, where you can turn up, register and bid.
