Lovely Lagondas Come to Charterhouse

A brace of pre-war Vintage Lagonda motor cars are entered into the Charterhouse auction of classic & vintage cars at the Haynes Motor Museum on Thursday 4th June.

“The vendor has been an avid Lagonda enthusiast since the 1960’s when he was often seen at racetracks such as Silverstone campaigning his cars” Commented Richard Bromell. “Sadly, now of a good age, he has given up driving.”

First up is a 1930 Lagonda High Chassis 2 litre tourer which he bought over 60 years ago. Estimated at £20,000-30,000 this Lagonda is running well and will be driven to the auction.

The second Lagonda, a 1932 2 litre saloon, was bought from a scrap yard by the owner in 1976. This has been dry stored since then as a long term project although it has never been finished or driven on the road. Offered for sale without reserve it is hoped the next custodian will finish this project.

Charterhouse are now accepting further entries for this specialist classic car auction at The Haynes Motor Museum on Thursday 4th June.

Richard Bromell and the team at Charterhouse, The Long Street Salerooms, Sherborne are available for vehicle valuations on 01935 812277 or via cars@charterhouse-auction.com
