A rare Ford Sierra Sapphire RS Cosworth 4×4 is entered into the Charterhouse 5th October classic & collector car auction at the Haynes International Motor Museum.
“The Ford RS Cosworth needs no introduction as a high performance car.” Commented Richard Bromell. “We have sold several over the years and demand has never been this high with this one being one of the best we have seen.”
Unusually, this Cosworth has had just one owner from new, having been bought to replace a Peugeot 205 GTi. It has been used sparingly over the past 33 years covering only 35,000 miles with the owner noting it has never been involved in an accident or stolen – quite an achievement as they were infamous for being too popular by car thieves when new.
This Fast Ford, finished in the very popular colour Moonstone blue with a cloth interior is estimated at £22,000-24,000.
