A collection of twelve cars from a deceased estate in Devon are included in the Charterhouse auction of classic cars at the Haynes Motor Museum on Wednesday 27th March.
“The owner retired to Devon a few years ago and gradually grew his collection.” Commented Richard Bromell. “He was fortunate to have a large barn which he gradually filled.”
Sadly, he recently passed away and his widow asked Charterhouse to auction his twelve-car collection without reserve.
All the cars, bar one, are British from the 1950’s to the 1980’s. They comprise a brace of Jaguar XJ-S, a Rover P4, two P5Bs & a P6, a Triumph 2000TC & a TR7 convertible, a Wolseley 6/80, a Daimler Sovereign, a fast road MG Midget and a Mercedes-Benz 280 SE.
