A collection of enamel signs, vintage petrol pumps and other automobilia from a Somerset collector are being sold by Charterhouse in Sherborne in their specialist Automobilia auction on 25th September.
“We have been holding automobilia auctions for many years.” Commented Richard Bromell. “However, when the owner turned up on one of our valuation days I was amazed to see nearly 100 lots of enamel signs and petroliana crammed into his van and loaded in his trailer.”
Automobilia in the collection date from the 1920s and include vintage hand crank petrol pumps, oil cans, enamel, forecourt and road signs. Items are estimated to sell from £40 to over £1,000, with most lots being sold without reserve and the collection estimated overall at £10,000.
Charterhouse is now accepting further entries for this specialist automobilia auction and have a valuation day at their Sherborne Salerooms on Friday 6th September.
