Supplied by a dealer in Anglesey to a titled Lady living at Theale in Somerset and maintained by the Wedmore Garage)
Then subsequently acquired by Glastonbury town council for use by the Mayor
The car then finished its council career as a Glastonbury Tor taxi and the engine failed in 1941
The derelict car was sold to Holder Garage in 1949, and then eventually to a Cornishman for a restoration which was never started
Gerry bought the Buick as a ‘basket case’ out of a shed in Cornwall in 1997, and painstakingly restored her, with an extensive photo record showing all the work on file
The car still runs and drives well, with the lovely care worn patina of an older restoration
